My name is Jose J.B. Contreras, and creativity has always been at the center of who I am. Over the years, I’ve built my career around design, branding, and digital experiences that not only look visually compelling but serve a real purpose. Through my work under Contrejbc, I’ve developed an approach that combines creativity, strategy, and functionality allowing me to create work that connects with people in a meaningful way.
My background spans graphic design, web design, marketing, and digital strategy, which gives me the ability to approach projects from multiple perspectives. I don’t believe design should exist only to look good. Every visual, layout, and interaction should have intention behind it. Whether I’m developing a brand identity, designing a website, creating marketing materials, or refining a digital experience, I focus on building something that feels authentic, engaging, and effective.
A large part of my process revolves around understanding how people interact with design. I place strong emphasis on UI and UX principles because I believe great design should feel effortless to the user. Clean structure, visual hierarchy, typography, color theory, and intuitive functionality all play a role in how people experience a brand or product. I enjoy creating systems and experiences that are modern, seamless, and easy to navigate while still maintaining a distinct visual identity.

My experience with content management systems, SEO, analytics, and digital marketing allows me to think beyond aesthetics and focus on results. Content Management System (CMS) has been a core tool for building, managing, and scaling digital experiences efficiently. I’ve worked with platforms like WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Contentful, Yahoo small business and Divi to create user-friendly, visually engaging websites without compromising performance or flexibility.
My approach to CMS platforms focuses on empowering both the business and the end user. I structure content in a way that’s easy to update, ensuring clients can manage their own websites without needing deep technical knowledge. This includes organizing layouts, optimizing media, and implementing responsive design so content performs seamlessly across all devices.
Additionally, I prioritize SEO best practices, site speed, and scalability making sure the CMS not only looks great but also drives traffic and supports long-term growth. Graphic Design
